Diwali is a most joyous celebration of India and TAGB makes every effort to continue this recurring tradition in Greater Boston area. This year, festivities started with auspicious lamp ceremony by cultural secretary, Smt. Sathya Parakala.and President Shankar Magapu, welcomed the audiences to the event which was arranged at Beautifully decorated venue by Anitha Shetty Designs and Decors, reminded of an Indian wedding hall.
Behind the grand success of this mega event, countless hours were invested by participants, parents, choreographers, volunteers and all TAGB committee members for the past three months.
Special evening was even more special with the presence of famous Tollywood actor, hero and Nandi award winner, Mr. Shivaji. He entertained the audience with his rapid fire interviews, lively conversations, jokes, grand raffle rounds, photos and much more..
TAGB EC Committee thanked the EMCEEs Smt. Kiran Jayaram, Smt. Madhavi Seeram,Smt Padma Dhavala and Sri Satya Kanakagiri for skillfully engaging the audience. Youth Emcees ‘Anurag Amaravadi and Sreyas Chaturvedula stole the show with their impeccable language and spontaneity.
EC Committee also thanked present and past Board of trustees for honoring TAGB invitation and gracing the event to felicitate TANA President and Andhra pradesh Ugadi Puraskaram award winner, Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni garu for his devoted, selfless, pioneering endless services to the Indian community and for inspiring and mentoring numerous volunteers.
EC also congratulated Mrs. Sailaja Chowdary, dedicated dancer, choreographer and the founder of “Sri Kuchipudi Natyalaya Dance School” the recipient of “Master artist” award from TAGB for her endless contributions to Telugu heritage and culture and ongoing efforts.

Punctuality of the audience, artists and efforts of the cultural team facilitated the timely start and end of the program. Highlight of the evening was the Patriotic Diwali Fashion show by Boston ladies displaying the costumes and traditions of various states of India.
Memorable evening concluded with vote of thanks by secretary, Mr. Srinivas Batchu, who appreciated and thanked the sponsors, artists, audience, vendors, volunteers, Nashua school and Town Authorities.
