In a simple, yet elegant ceremony on 1/7/17 at FunAsia Richardson Texas, Collin County Judge Keith Self administered the oath of office to the India Association of North Texas’s 2017 Board. Ceremony was attended by community leaders and corporate sponsors. Mohammed Salman Farshori was sworn in as the 52nd President to lead this prestigious organization. India Association is one of the oldest Asian Indian organizations in the USA, established in 1962.

“The opportunity to serve as the President of India Association of North Texas is an honor and a privilege that I enthusiastically embrace. IANT is one of the oldest Asian Indian organizations in the US, and we are the doorway to one of the fastest growing population in the country. One of IANT’s main focus is to provide a platform to our community to fulfill its needs and goals for cultural and social engagement, and to help raise understanding and awareness of Indian cultural heritage and traditions across North Texas. This year we have one of the most dynamic and talented board that is all pumped up to take IANT to the next level, and it leads me to be very optimistic about what lies ahead in 2017.” Salman stated during his inauguration.

The India Association of North Texas (IANT) is a 501(c) (3) Non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization, established in 1962 and incorporated in 1976. Its primary purpose is to serve the cultural and educational needs of the North Texas Indian community. The National Federation of Indian Associations has approved IANT to be the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) umbrella organization in the DFW area. More than 100 Indian organizations are its Affiliate Members

India Association of North Texas will be Celebrating its 41st India Day event on January 21st, 2017 at 12:00 Noon.  Event is going to be held at SMU McFarlin Auditorium which is located at 6405 Boaz Ln, Dallas, TX 75205. India Day is an annual cultural and dance event hosted by the India Association of North Texas (www.iant.org) celebrating India’s republic day. The event includes presentations on Indian history, culture and dance performances by over 1100+ participants from all across DFW
